One reason why I never rented a kilt for blacktie dinners when I lived in Aberdeen *eeew* The other reason being I'd have been battered senseless for being an Englishman in a kilt!!

Fact is that one must think of others prior to going regimental in a kilt. You never know when it might fly up on ye. That being said, there is a time and place for everything.

I would imagine that the Scots would see no problem with it. However, the Brits might. HAHA!

Seriously though, in my opinion, nothing is finer dress than the kilt with a Prince Charlie jacket and vest, bow tie, and fly plaid draped over the left shoulder.

See, now I'm tempted to throw a picture of myself up here... all this talk of wearing kilts and all!

One of my favorite pictures (and the only one I willingly show others of myself) is when I was given permission to wear my great kilt in the wedding party of a good friend. It took some modification, and I had to wear a different suit coat than everyone else, but I loved it! I'll probably never get to do that again.

I find it difficult to put myself on the political map. On the other hand, the same is it for some of the politicians, obviously, because of how they supposedly associate their own politics and completely disregard the differences between their practical politics, ideals and public stunts/outcries.

Though, we might want to avoid directly talking much about politics here at this time
