| I have a few pieces I rescued from a near disaster a few years back - my main body of work was lost - two whole portfolios of stuff just gone - but I managed to save a few of my favourites... I hope you like them I used to use Pencil to sketch and fill, and then a set of Rotring metal tip ink pens to do all the ink work on most of my pics... https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img294/1927/libertycapcf0.jpg - Liberty Cap - drawn in a mad session with a Turkish girl i used to know, this is how I saw her in front of me... the brew we drank was ... well, psychedelic https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img164/1781/comegetsomekf2.jpg - Come Get Some - a drawing of a trooper from the ABC Warriors - this one is a Terminator of the Termite Religion of Terra, run by one Tomas de Torquemada...https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img178/9561/fishhs3.jpg - Fish - one of the greatest things to happen to me was when an old friend, Sparky, had this image tattooed on his legs - one fish per leg - i was deeply honoured - this is a copy of a copy I managed to rescue and needs re-inking.. https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img164/9900/tankgirl1lm4.jpg - Tank Girl - just because, i like girls who drive tanks | |

| I've seen some of these before. In fact I seem to recall one of your pics...of a dragon?...or a serpent of some kind, that I said would make a wikid tat. Could be the memory playing tricks though. But yeah your stuff is very swish, wish I could draw like that. | |

Yeh i posted these ones on my own website - just a mess about url really - they're the only ones i've got scanned - i need to do the rest i've got i think and yep here's the 'Bearded Serpent' one - https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img119/456/beardedszw8.jpg - this isn't complete as this was pre-horn drawn - this needs a some digital fixing to darken some areas and sharpen the edges to make a much better template for a tattoo - one day, one day lol really glad you like them Shog

| WOOOT finally got home to look. Very nice mong ! I was really into the swirling black and white amorphic swirls and waves as energy. (see my #9 doodle for example of my obsession. cira early to late 80's:)) I think something about psychadelics + the wieght and thicknes of air may have been involved (pre-dates some more tribalisic later designs that I noticed gaining momentum in the 90's) | |

I do think that... I was/am always into the idea of manipulating perception, especially in art, M.C Escher always top of my list of perception stepping and broadening artists who must have lived interesting lives, at least in their minds, and how they were able to freely veiw the world... ... what luxury... I really got into the idea of trying to create 3 Dimensional perception on the 2D surface paper, and studied such things as Masonic Architecture, Dynamic Geometry and of course Choas Theory in as many aspects of Nature as I could fit in my head! and thanks Raptor and Guild for commenting - every artist likes appreciation!

| https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img294/1927/libertycapcf0.jpgI was lucky enough to see Mongry's work before...well at least my favorite (see linky) Artist : One who makes art. How can you define an artist? An artist could be a great painter, for example, but to me an *artist* is something significantly above and beyond that in achievement. As every definition of art must be controversial, so any definition of artist must be as well. Art is everything, not only painting, its music, writing and crafting. "The artists must be sacrificed to their art. Like the bees, they must put their lives into the sting they give." (Ralph Waldo Emerson) "History has remembered the kings and warriors, because they destroyed; Art has remembered the people, because they created." (William Morris (1834-1896), English artist, poet, and social reformer; leader of the Arts and Crafts Movement.) "What do you think an artist is? An imbecile who has only his eyes if he is a painter, or his ears if he is a musician? . . . On the contrary, he is at the same time a political being, constantly on the alert to the heart-rending, burning, or happy events in the world, molding himself in their likeness." (Pablo Picasso.) "An artist's job is to surprise himself. Use all means possible." (Robert Henri. ) | |

| Nice post Amorey.
Sure even stark utilitariamism (Bauhaus) is art. Infact if you look around you right now..everything you see is in some manner artistic. Simple aesthetics of say computer design, the desk..a pen even.
